My Journey as a Christian 571 - B ( Jude chapter 1 verse 1 to 3)

Judas

Chapter 1 verses

1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ and brother of Tiago, to those who were called, loved by God the Father and kept by Jesus Christ:
2 Mercy, peace and love be multiplied to them.
3 Beloved, though I was very anxious to write to them about the salvation we share, I felt it necessary to write to them insisting that they should fight for the faith once and for all entrusted to the saints.

My Comments:

Verse 1: Judas, servant of Jesus Christ and brother of Tiago, instead of bearing the honored privilege of being a half-brother of Jesus, Judas calls himself the servant of the son of God Jesus Christ.
At that time there were two types of servants in the Roman world, the first was forced to be a slave. The second was a servant by choice and thus was attached to his master for life. This illustrates the type of slave or servant that was Judas
To those who have been called This is the main description of Judas, he is writing to people who have been called or chosen by God
Verse 2: Mercy, Mercy is an undeserved favor that God gives us, Peace is the state of mind of the person who rests in God, to obtain salvation, and love is a response to the work of God given by Christians.
Verse 3: Judas is clearly saying that he was anxious to write about salvation, but some occurrences contrary to the preaching of the Gospel or of the truth made him change his mind, and for this he would write asking Christians to fight for faith in Jesus and preach The truth at any cost.  Faith here means the teachings made by Jesus and the apostles, these teachings entrusted to the saints or chosen of God
